Supported in part by donations, it has the latest fiction and nonfiction bestsellers, children’s books, books about Maine and Cape Porpoise, books on CD and DVDs. In addition the library offers an internet-connected computer with printer, 24-hour Wifi accessibility, fax and copier. It is handicap accessible and offers local delivery service to the home-bound readers. The library sponsors a highly popular Used Book Sale the first weekend in August. The Cape Porpoise Library is a fun place for chatting with old friends and meeting new ones.

The Shelves of Cape Porpoise Library are full of the latest best sellers, as well as timeless classics and local authors and history of the area.
Children will find their absolute favorites in the children’s nook, and patrons can just have a seat, check their email or work on the jigsaw puzzle while chatting with friends.
